Full Description

INot all spinning methods are created equal, but if you ask me, supported spindles are the best way to both learn and refine your skills for both beginners and expert spinners alike.  While you technically can spin any fiber with a spindle, in this class we will not only go over technique, but also what fibers work best for your spindle, and why.

We will cover:

  • So many toys: The different types of supported spindles and their traditional uses

  • Like peanut butter and cream cheese: Pairing fiber type and fiber prep with a spindle

  • Do the twist: How to make a stable yarn single via park and draft

  • Cop drama: Winding your single onto your spindle to create a "cop" (see what I did there?)
